Story
The peaceful lives of the Raniganj mining community are shattered when a
devastating flood traps 71 miners deep within the earth. With time running
out and conventional rescue methods proving ineffective, young engineer
Jaswant Singh Gill steps forward with a daring plan.
Gill proposes using a specially designed capsule to transport the miners one
by one through a newly drilled borehole. This seemingly impossible solution
faces strong opposition from D. Sen and other officials, who deem it too
risky and unproven.
However, fueled by his determination to save lives, Gill perseveres. He
tirelessly works to refine his plan, securing support from his superiors and
fellow engineers. Nirmala, his unwavering wife, stands by his side,
providing emotional support and reminding him of the families waiting for
their loved ones.
The construction of the capsule and the drilling of the borehole become a
race against time. Meanwhile, the trapped miners battle claustrophobia,
dwindling resources, and the fear of never seeing their families again.
Finally, the day of the rescue arrives. Tension hangs heavy in the air as
the capsule is lowered into the mine. One by one, the miners are brought to
safety, their faces etched with relief and gratitude.
Despite initial doubts, Gill's innovative approach proves successful. All 65
trapped miners are rescued, a testament to his courage, ingenuity, and
unwavering belief in his plan.
