In 1969, Indiana Jones is a professor of archaeology at Hunter College in New York City. He is estranged from his son, Mutt Williams, who has become a successful archaeologist in his own right. Indy is also struggling to come to terms with the fact that he is getting older and that his time as an adventurer may be coming to an end.

One day, Indy is approached by Helena, his estranged goddaughter. Helena is a brilliant archaeologist who is working on a project to uncover the secrets of the Dial of Destiny. The Dial of Destiny is a powerful artifact that is said to be able to control the very fabric of time. Indy is reluctant to get involved, but he is convinced by Helena to help her.

Indy and Helena soon find themselves on the run from Jürgen Voller, a former Nazi who is now a NASA scientist. Voller is also interested in the Dial of Destiny, and he believes that he can use it to change the outcome of World War II.

Indy and Helena must race against time to find the Dial of Destiny before Voller does. Along the way, they will travel to some of the most exotic locations on Earth, and they will face off against some of the most dangerous villains in history.
